Family Reunions, Part II

July 2018

GOODWIN Family Reunion, May 2001

GOODWIN Reunion, 2001 After corresponding with Jack Borland he invited me to the May 2001 reunion of the Pennsylvania Goodwin branch in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where I met about 30 cousins--something on the order of 5th cousins.

CERINI Family Reunion, September 2012

CERINI Reunion, 2012 A couple years back I was contacted by the Tomales Bay tribe of Cerinis, and then in February 2012 I heard from Elio Genazzi, a descendant of the Giovanni Nunzio & Angelina (PiezziCerini. His grandmother was one of two children who stayed behind in Giumaglio while the rest emigrated to Tomales Bay, California. Elio was setting up his first trip to the United States so I put him in contact with his American cousins and they threw him a family reunion of over 40 cousins spanning three branches of the Giovanni family, plus another "orphaned" Tomales Bay branch that we have yet to firmly tie to the greater Cerini tree. My father and I represented our tribe. The reunion was held at Lucchesi Park in Petaluma under the most beautifully blue California sky.
